Dragons Basketball

TYPA Sports Academy offers a competitive, curriculum-based approach to basketball development. Our mission is to help players improve through a structured system that emphasizes fundamentals, game understanding, and teamwork.

Curriculum System

We follow the USA Basketball Youth Development Program to ensure age-appropriate progression, skill benchmarks, and consistent team concepts.

Age Groups and Structure

We currently offer 12U Boys & Girls, 15U Boys & Girls, and 18U Boys & Girls divisions for our competitive teams. Additional age groups may be formed depending on registration numbers and availability of facilities.

Typical Weekly Schedule

• 12U (Grade 4-6) Boys & Girls Practice Times & Locations: Wednesday 7:00-8:15pm (Middle School Gym) and Saturday 12:30-1:45pm (Upper School Gym)
• 15U (Grade 7-9) Boys Practice Times & Locations: Tuesday 7:00-8:30pm (Middle School Gym) and Saturday 1:45-3:45pm (Upper School Gym)
• 15U (Grade 7-9) Girls Practice Times & Locations: Tuesday 7:00-8:30pm (Lower School Gym) and Saturday 1:45-3:45pm (Upper School Gym)
• 18U (Grade 10-12) Boys Practice Times & Locations: Thursday 7:00-8:30pm (Upper School Gym) and Saturday 3:45-5:45pm (Upper School Gym)
• 18U (Grade 10-12) Girls Practice Times & Locations: Tuesday 7:00-8:30pm (Lower School Gym) and Saturday 1:45-3:45pm (Upper School Gym)
• Games: Most games take place on Sunday

Tuition

• 12U (Grade 4-6) Boys & Girls – Practice NT$20,000 per semester / Competitive Team NT$3,000 per semester / Development Team NT$1,000 per semester
• 15U (Grade 7-9) Boys – Practice NT$22,000 per semester / Competitive Team NT$3,000 per semester / Development Team NT$1,000 per semester
• 15U (Grade 7-9) Girls – Practice NT$22,000 per semester / Competitive Team NT$3,000 per semester / Development Team NT$1,000 per semester
• 18U (Grade 10-12) Boys – Practice NT$22,000 per semester / Competitive Team NT$3,000 per semester / Development Team NT$1,000 per semester
• 18U (Grade 10-12) Girls – Practice NT$22,000 per semester / Competitive Team NT$3,000 per semester / Development Team NT$1,000 per semester

   * Competitive and Development team placements are based on  coaches decisions.

Assessments and Registration

Continuing students who complete re-registration have their spot reserved. New applicants can register and be invited to assessments. Their final placement is based on how coaches assess skills and effort. All players—including returning ones—will participate at the beginning of each season to help coaches assess development and determine the most appropriate team placements. We strive to include as many players as possible and will always look for ways to create team opportunities when interest and enrollment allow.
